.32 and 33 Vict. Cap. 73. An Act to alter and amend the Telegraph Act 1868 (Passed 9th August 1867.)
By the Telegraph Act 1868 the Government was authorized to purchase up the existing Telegraphs in the United Kingdom, but although it was clearly the intention of the Legislature at the time of passing the Act that the Government should have the exclusive privilege of transmitting telegraphic messages through the United Kingdom such power was not contained in the Act; accordingly by this Act passed the following year,
